motivation.

So I’ve been seeing all the amazing physiques of the Olympiad ladies and maaaaan, let me tell you. I’ve been fitfluenced.

Like, come on.

So I’m realistic with things. I love bread way too much to look that amazing and sinewed. But lately, with my fitness goals, I’ve been working on consistency. Here’s what consistency looks like for me these days:

  • I work out four times a week. This schedule is feasible for my life. My goal is move every day, but I actively pursue a 4-day fitness week.
  • I try to focus on variety. A 3+ mile walk one day, a cardio dance class another day, strength training another, etc. This keeps me motivated and not bored.
  • I try to notice the little things when it comes to my body. No, I’m not looking for Gabby in the mirror (yet? Lol), but I am noticing toning, loose clothing, things like that. I don’t weigh myself (back in the day, it became an obsession so it’s just not personally healthy for me to be into numerals), so things like clothes fit and appearance helps me to determine how I’m doing.
  • Yes, I do adore bread, but I am making healthier choices. I’ve welcomed salmon back into my life, for example. That’s huge, because for a while, salmon was persona non grata. (It’s just so salmony.)

Loving all the girl power and loving the current motivation.

Onwards…
