Goals.

Chair goals.

Book shelf goals.

Head wrap goals.

Recreating-this-photo-in-my-apartment-one-day goals.

I mean. Come on. For a proud melanin lady who loves books and sitting on her growing derrière (thank you, squats) and red lippy, this photo is everything.

Incidentally, yesterday was National Book Lovers Day. I certainly hope you celebrated by sniffing some books and delighting in the sweet aromas of imagination and words. If not, fellow bookworm, you know that we don’t need a day set aside to celebrate our love: every day is National Book Lovers Day.

Here’s to beloved library cards and paying off all those fines. Speaking for myself, of course.

(Thanks for the tag, TB!)

  1. Hey Lady!

Ah, a chair that doubles up as a book shelf?! I’d live in that chair, sleep in that chair, have my babies in that chair and live out the rest of my days in that chair.

Mr. Hemingway was onto something, indeed, “There is no friend as loyal as a book”

If Gold and Dark chocolate had a baby it would look like the gorgeous lady sitting in that chair. 🙂

    1. Hey!

Love it! Live in that chair, sleep in that chair, have my babies in that chair and live out the rest of my days in that chair. ME TOO. It’s every dream I’ve ever had.

And, yes, Papa Hemingway was quite right with that quote. Some of the best friends I’ve ever had lived in pages. Elizabeth Bennett comes to mind. 😉

Right? As my uncle would say, “world class chocolate.” Indeed. 🙂

  2. LOL!! How I DO love your words. 😉

You got it babe! Soon as I saw that I said, “Shirley. Aaaaannnd tag.” Haha! I’m nowhere near as book-lovin’ as you, but this pic alone makes me wanna frolic through the aisles of my local library- the inside of which I haven’t seen since high school! *covers eyes in shame*

I say you connect with a good carpenter friend and make this chair happen! http://diycozyhome.com/build-a-bookshelf-chair/ 🙂
