Fabu Fashion: Summer on 100. (Literally.)

Oh, hi.

Are you good? It’s been forever and a day. But here we are. Summer has been summering and me and my pup are just plugging along, trying not to spontaneously combust from the Texas heat. (So in Texas, if you’re not aware, there’s the actual temperature, there’s the heat index, and then there’s the sun punishing you for loving the moon more than him. A 93 degree day feels like 108,523 Fahrenheit.)

What have I been up to lately? See above. But in between hiding from the sun, here are some of the lewks I’ve been wearing.

I wore this to a worship meeting. Ever have one of those outfits you forgot about and then one day you’re poring through your closet, declaring that you have no clothes, and then boom? You find something that was vainly whispering, “I’m here, I’m here” each time you made that silly declaration?

I’ve had this dress forever but I love the scuba style. Flattering for my body. The earrings are from Target and those shoes (my very favorite) are from Dillard’s Shoe Outlet.

I had plans for dinner with a friend. What to wear to look nice/bare some shoulders and not melt? Enter this lewk. That top is from…somewhere. Shorts and earrings are from Target, and the sandals are from…somewhere.

(I’m sure you’ve noticed that I’m terrible with details but these lewks are just for inspo, should you need some ‘fit inspo from a stranger on the Interwebs. Ha.)

I recycle up in this piece. Another dinner with a friend, so this is what I wore. Target shorts are back and this blouse I got from Ross a million years ago. My earrings are also from Target. I did wear shoes, lest the bottom of my feet burst into chocolate flames.

Guess what? This is an all Target outfit! (Are y’all shopping at Target? If you love a clean, unfussily chic lewk, it’s truly the place to be.) From my earrings to my shoes and in between, this entire ensemble came from Target. I loved this lewk for a ladies party I was invited to.

Lastly, this dress. This dress.

Do you also have a Mafia-style relationship with a store that you always tell yourself to just stop shopping at and then you find yourself there and stumble on outfits like these and realize that it’s an offer you simply can’t refuse?

This is my relationship with Ross. I used to shop there all the time. Then I stopped. Then I’d pop in to see what was there. And then I went in fully to find something. And then I saw this dress on the shelf. Right?? Amazing. Earrings from Target and those dazzling shoes are from Dillard’s Shoe Outlet. (And yeah, I’m back to not shopping at Ross. Until I go back.)
